Had an awesome trip out on Lake Conroe with Captain James—couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, he was professional, easy to talk to, and clearly knew the lake inside and out. We stayed on fish the whole time and ended up catching more than I expected. He was patient, gave helpful tips, and made sure we had plenty of fish to take home. Boat and gear were all top-notch, and everything felt first class and well-organized. Whether you’re experienced or just getting started, this is the kind of guide you want. I’d 100% book again and highly recommend Captain James to anyone looking to have a great day fishing on Lake Conroe.

This was our first charter fishing trip, and it exceeded every expectation. We had an incredible day on Lake Conroe and limited out on hybrid striped bass within the first hour, which really shows his knowledge of the lake and perfect timing. We then switched over to catfish fishing, which was also very productive, and ended the day with a full ice chest. He knows exactly where to go and when—this isn’t luck, it’s experience. If you’re considering booking, trust his guidance and follow his lead. He was also excellent with our 12-year-old son—patient, engaging, and made the whole trip fun and easy from start to finish. Watching him clean the fish was definitely a memorable part of the day as well. Highly recommend. We’ll absolutely be back.

Captain James was a pleasure to fish with. We had a slow start, but he worked hard to find the right spot for the boys, and they ended up having an amazing experience. He was very helpful throughout the trip. Thank you again—we really appreciate it.

We were three adults, including one first-time angler, and went out hoping to catch catfish. Captain James had a great 23-foot boat and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. He guided each of us onto some beautiful catfish and handled the boat with real skill, taking us right to the productive spots. It turned out to be a perfect day on the water.

Captain James took us out for my son’s 14th birthday, and we had an incredible trip. We limited out on hybrids and had a fantastic day on the water. We’ve fished with Captain James several times, and he consistently makes every trip an awesome experience. We’ll definitely be back soon for another great day on the water.

This was our second trip in about eight months . It was me , my son and 2 grand sons . Both trips were great as we caught many , many fish ! We are already planning our next trip. ! James is a great guide who is very knowledgeable and patient with all ages ! Great guy and a great guide !
